Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein co-authored the Senate version, S. 3746, of the National Ag Science Center Act of 2006 on July 27, 2006.
On April 6, 2006, Congressman Dennis Cardoza introduced legislation, H.R. 5128, to designate the Ag Science Center as the National Ag Science Center. Cosponsors of the bill are Congressman George Radanovich and Congresswoman Doris O. Matsui.
A 5th grade class from Agnes M. Baptist Elementary wrote letters of support for the Ag Science Center to Congressman Cardoza and were the special guests at a press conference held at Modesto Junior College West Campus on April 10, 2006.
