At the Ag Science Center, we believe that education is a key contributor to lifelong learning and is a significant agent for change. Through learning, individuals are empowered to make real contributions to their own communities as well as participate in the local and national democratic process. The Ag Science Center will work in partnership with educators to ensure student field trips meet standards for science and math education and assist the schools in achieving their goals under No Child Left Behind.
We are partnering with Ag in the Classroom to ensure the curriculum-based exhibits will meet state field trip standards and with industry to convey the important science based advances that make our agriculture the best in the world. By expanding this partnership to include the number one Junior College agriculture program in the state we will strengthen the lessons taught at the Center to include livestock interaction and provide opportunities for Modesto Junior College students to act as interns or docents in the school tour and visitor experience components of our program.
The Ag Science Center will not only provide you and your students with an unforgettable look into the amazing world of agriculture but through the assistance of carefully developed curricular tools the learning experience can expand into your classroom and beyond. A team of credentialed teachers has been working with Ag in the Classroom and Food Land and People to ensure your experience is not only memorable but also educationally justifiable.

At the Ag Science Center students will be totally immersed in the story of food and fiber production while taking a journey from the field to the processor. Visitors will see how the American farmer provides safe and abundant food and fiber for the world’s consumers.
The learning experience begins as you step off the bus. An interactive water feature awaits you to help guide students through water’s path from the mountains to the valley floor. Students will learn the value of this precious resource and be able to direct water to some farms while learning there is not enough for all.
